Choose more often:

  • Greek salad
  • Tzatziki
  • Hummus
  • Pitta
  • Dolmadis
  • Stuffed tomatoes
  • Tabouli (wheat kernels mixed with tomatoes, parsley, mint, olive oil and lemon juice)
  • Souvlaki (lamb marinated in lemon juice, oil and herbs then grilled)
  • Kleftiko (lamb casserole)
  • Grilled or barbecued fish e.g. plaki, grilled lamb or kebab.
  • Salad drizzled with lime juice & black pepper
  • Fresh fruit, yogurt

Avoid in general:

  • Taramasalata

  • Moussaka

  • Lamb dishes

  • Keftedes (meatballs)

  • Spicy sausages

  • Baklava
