Choose more often:

Most dishes are prepared to order so you can request a minimum of oil, salt & sugar.

  • Won-ton, abalone or hot & sour soup
  • Chicken with chilli dipping sauce
  • Steamed/ boiled rice & noodles
  • Chicken, vegetable, prawn chop suey
  • Steamed, jum (poached), kow (roasted), shu (barbecued)
  • Steamed dim sum
  • Stir fried dishes rather than deep-fried or request steamed/ boiled vegetable dishes.
  • Steamed fish with ginger, vegetables & rice
  • Tofu dishes provided not fried
  • Medium fat dishes: satay, chow mein
  • Fruit or fruit sorbet

Avoid in general:

  • Fried starters e.g. prawn crackers, spring rolls, fried wantons, egg rolls, sesame prawn roll
  • Fried rice and noodles
  • Deep fried or battered meat e.g. sweet & sour, lemon chicken, crispy fried beef or duck, poultry with skin, spare ribs
  • Fruit fritters
  • Large amounts of MSG
